THIS FAMILY KEEPS GETTING WEIRDER.

—"Force of Habits"

Todd is a recurring character in The Loud House and The Really Loud House and a minor character in The Casagrandes. He is a robot created by Lisa, like other robots she made.

Biography[]

Todd is first created in "Making the Grade", when Mrs. Johnson tells her class to take out their robotics projects, but Lisa, having just transferred to Mrs. Johnson's class, doesn't have one. She built him almost instantaneously, and his first action was destroying all of Lisa's classmates' robots, which he saw as inferior. Later, when Lisa starts to act average and cool, she reprogrammed him to be more average as well, having him destroy the pop quizzes Mrs. Johnson was going to have the class take. He is last seen coming into Ms. Shrinivas' class, ordered to attack Ms. Shrinivas if she wakes Lisa up earlier than requested.

Todd returns in the Internet exclusive short "Robot Sitcom" in which he is shown to have moved into Lisa's underground bunker with two of her other robots Mr. Reinforced Titanium Alloy Arms and FriendBot 1000, along with a sentient toaster who is simply named Toaster and a beast named Tentacle.

In "Silence of the Luans", Todd is compromised by Lily alongside the rest of Lisa's robots. When the Loud family attempts to hide in Lisa's bunker, Todd warns them to retreat before the bunker explodes, covering it in goop.

In "Much Ado About Noshing", Lisa sends Todd to help Lynn Sr. at Lynn's Table since she is handling some hazardous chemicals at the time.

He makes a cameo appearance at the end of "For Sale by Loner", where he accompanies the Loud family in annoying the couple that bought Mr. Grouse's house until they leave.

In "The Loudly Bones", Todd helps Lisa out when she discovers a supposed dinosaur bone in her backyard.

In "High Crimes", Todd and DareBot 2.0 drive Lisa to Sunset Canyon Retirement Home to help Lincoln and Clyde determine who sabotaged the place.

In "Save Royal Woods!", he uses his built-in microphone to help Lincoln make announcements. He also takes part in the ruse when the citizens pretend that King George III stayed in Royal Woods. Todd later tells Joyce Crandall that the Over-Secretary is on the phone wanting to talk to her.

In "The Taunting Hour", Todd is the source of Lisa getting heckled for her use of him. After Lisa was informed of this by Lincoln and Lynn, Lisa froze during her next presentation causing Todd to evacuate her. Todd was present when Lisa, Lola, Luna, Luan, Lynn Sr. and Rita confronted Lincoln about his informing of their hecklers affecting their lives.

In "Eye Can't", Todd tries to aid Lisa around town while she wore her makeshift glasses, but gets distracted when he sees a sale at Reininger's and ends up as a model at their fashion show.

In "Dine and Bash", Todd drives the Loud siblings in Vanzilla throughout the episode.

In "Robot Reboot", Lisa reviews her robots' helpfulness to the family with Todd, Mr. Reinforced Titanium Alloy Arms, and FriendBot 1000.

In "The Last Laugh", Lisa mentioned to Luan that she hung out with Mr. Reinforced Titanium Alloy Arms before Todd was created and has been working to make them good friends. In the final scene, Todd dodges a chandelier at the Chortle Portal as Mr. Reinforced Titanium Alloy Arms wonders how that happened.

In "Driver's Dread", Todd is among the characters that try to teach Leni how to drive.

In "Lights, Camera, Nuclear Reaction", Todd assists Lincoln and Clyde in filming an unofficial David Steele movie as the film's antagonist, Chip Micro, and is fitted with a villain switch to enhance his performance. However, Lisa forgets to turn the switch off after the filming, so he really does become a villain. He steals Lisa's nuclear reactor with the intent of using it to annihilate Royal Woods, and enlists Lisa's other robots as his henchmen. After he removes the villain switch and decides to stay evil forever, Lincoln, Lisa, and Clyde make him play memories from within his memory banks which revert him and the other robots back to normal.

In "Space Jammed", Todd and Lisa both get stranded in space, but Leni helps them get back home.

In "Small Blunder", he stands guard at Lisa's bunker to protect her shrink ray, anticipating Lily would come to steal it. However, he is foiled when Lily distracts him with a lollipop.

In "The Macho Man with the Plan", Lisa wants to enter him in a robotics competition, but has to rename him because of another competitor who has his own robot named Todd. In order to watch Rip Hardcore's Midnight Marathon, Lincoln disguises Todd as himself and has him attend Lynn Sr.'s half-birthday celebration at Jean Juan's French Mex Buffet, complete with Lisa programming Todd to have Lincoln's voice. However, a waiter accidentally spills water on Todd, causing him to catch fire and exposing the ruse.

Personality[]

Because he is a robot, Todd is usually unemotional and obedient. Most of the emotion he shows is programmed into him by Lisa, his creator, but he also does demonstrate some demeanor on his own. He has a "maternal mode" where he acts motherly and caring towards the Loud kids, but Lisa is shown to dislike this feature.[1]

Todd has shown an attraction toward entertainment and having fun, but he gets vengeful if someone wrongs him or someone else. His artificial intelligence can sometimes override conversational tones.[2] He also has a dial that controls how much emotion he has.[3]

In "Lights, Camera, Nuclear Reaction", Lisa modifies Todd with a villainous switch, which makes Todd cunning and deceitful. He eventually is restored to his caring self upon being ordered to replay his memories by Lincoln, Clyde, and Lisa.

Appearance[]

Todd is constructed out of some recycled materials and other appliances. He has a bucket for a head with a small calculator-like device on his forehead, round speakers for eyes, a corkscrew for a neck, a printer for a chest, a a fire extinguisher on his back, building toys for arms, a magnet for one hand, a pair of grabbers for the other, an old time sound amplifier for the lower body, and a set of bicycle wheels and training wheels for feet. He also comes with laser vision that disintegrates anything he dislikes.

Upon first being built, Todd initially had a large bucket for Lisa to sit and control him (located at the back) and a monitor at the back of the head. As of "The Loudly Bones", both of these have been removed and he moves more independently.

In earlier appearances, Todd's hands have been shown to be interchangeable between the magnet and the pair of grabbers along with a second magnet and a pair of hedge clippers. His arms are also shown to be extendable to several times their length,[4] as is his neck.[5]

In "Waking History", Todd's wheels are ripped off. He is then given a replacement set of wheels constructed from sticks and round stones.

In The Really Loud House, Todd's chest is instead a Nintendo Entertainment System, and his right eye is green while the left one is light blue.

Trivia[]

    • Despite this, he reveals in "Eye Can't" and "Sleepless in Royal Woods" to have a sleep mode and to actually use it. The most likely explanation is that his sleep mode is not a required function.
