Some jobs require you to get your hands dirty!

—"Sleuth or Consequences"

Lana L. Loud is a main character in The Loud House and The Really Loud House.

Biography[]

At 7-years-old (6-years-old prior to "Strife of the Party"), Lana is the fourth youngest of the Loud siblings. She is also Lola's twin sister (older by two minutes), with whom she attends the 2nd grade (1st grade in Seasons 1–4) at Royal Woods Elementary School.

In "Time Trap!", Lana and her siblings altered history, causing their parents to decide not to have any kids in the future. As a result, Lana got deleted out of existence, although she returned when Lisa and Lily prevented this timeline alteration.

Early life[]

In Lana's early infancy, she found , Cliff, and Walt, and cried until her parents agreed to keep them.[4][5] When Lana was a year old, she developed a habit of decorating the house by throwing mud at it, which she still does.[6] Her and Lola's second birthday had a sailor motif[7] and at around age two, Lana tracked mud through the living room, prompting Lincoln and Clyde to play Ace Savvy and investigate who did it.[8]

Her and Lola's third birthday party had a princess theme, their fourth birthday party had no theme, and their fifth birthday party had a medieval theme. These birthday parties were all, at least partially, planned by Lola, and Lana had no say in their planning until their seventh birthday party.[9]

At some point in Lana's past, she and Lola enjoyed listening to "The Little Froggy Song", which their parents hated.[10] At some point, Lana owned another snake before El-Diablo who went to the very back corner of the basement and passed away. [11] When Lana was five years old, she met Hops while playing and swimming around in Tall Timbers Lake and decided to take him home with her and keep him as a pet. [12] At some point in her early childhood, Lana lost her two front teeth along with Lola.

Personality[]

The Loud House Lana Nickelodeon 2

Lana is a tomboy, contrasting with her twin's girly personality. She loves to play in mud and enjoys getting her hands dirty. Her pleasures are found in filth of all kinds, and anything unhygienic, from playing with frogs to digging in the trash for chewed gum to doing business outdoors. Despite her tomboyishness and gross habits, she is a decent enough person and is loving towards her family. She also helps her family with more of the household jobs like unclogging the toilet and cleaning the animals out.

She is a junior expert plumber, as seen in "Sleuth or Consequences", where she uses an auger nicknamed "Big Bertha" to unclog the toilet (although she also aims to clog the toilet herself with her own excrement). Another example being in "Suite and Sour" where she fixed a shower. She also possesses extensive knowledge in automotive repair and machinery, and sometimes can be seen fixing Lola's Princess Car or even Vanzilla.

In "Snow Way Out", she is shown to be stingy when she refused to give the coupon for Flip, but later she got over it at the end.

She is also an animal lover, liking to adopt stray animals (sometimes to her parents' annoyance) and being an expert on pet training, as shown in "Chore and Peace" and "Training Day". In addition to caring for her own pets, she also shows great compassion for animals she does not own, and is always willing to help other animals (as shown in episodes like "Frog Wild", "Animal House", and "Love Stinks").

Nick Description[]

Lana Loud is the resident Ms. Fix-It, and is always ready to lend a hand, no matter how dirty the job. Need your toilet unclogged? Snake fed? No job is too tough, or too gross to take on. All she asks in return is a little A-B-C gum, or a handful of dog food.

—Nickelodeon, 2016

A rough-and-tumble sparkplug, Lana couldn’t be more different from her twin sister Lola. She’s all about reptiles, mudpies, and mufflers. The Loud House’s resident fixer-upper, she’s always ready to lend a hand, and the dirtier the job, the better!

—Nickelodeon, 2021

Appearance[]

Lana is nearly identical in her physical appearance to Lola. She has blonde hair, with two downward pigtails tied down with red scrunchies, and is missing her top front teeth, like her twin does.

She wears a red baseball cap backwards with a small square hole, white socks[13], white sneakers with two blue stripes, and a murky green (blue in live action) t-shirt under dark blue overalls.

Her original design showed her wearing a red shirt instead of a murky green one, and Mary Janes instead of sneakers. She also had one of her teeth missing (similar to Lynn) instead of lacking her front teeth, and her hair was lighter in color.

Her nightwear just consists of a murky green nightshirt.

Her swimsuit is a blue one piece, which looks like her overalls.

Her snow attire consists of a yellow coat with matching pants, blue boots with matching gloves, completed with green earmuffs.

In the live-action project, Lana's outfit is the same where she wears socks. By "A Musical to Remember", the twins' top front teeth have grown in.

Hat[]

Not even lana wants this

Her signature hat.

Lana's hat is a red baseball cap that she wears in every episode she appears in (except for the Really Loud House episode "The Blemish Dilemish"). Lana always wears her hat backwards, and she is also shown to sleep with her hat on. The only time she has ever worn it forwards was when Flip slammed it onto her head in "You Auto Know Better", although she was quick to turn it back around. The only time where Lana did something that involved her hat was when she wanted Lincoln to sign it in "The Loudest Yard".

The only instances where Lana doesn't wear her hat for a majority of the time are in the episodes "In Tents Debate", "Toads and Tiaras", "The Whole Picture", "Tricked!", "Game Off", "Strife of the Party", "House Flip", "Sister Act", and "Kings of the Con".

Alternate Versions[]

Leif Loud[]

Main article: Genderbent Royal Woods
Lief Loud

In an alternate universe where the sisters are boys, Lana is a boy named Leif. Similar to Lana, Leif is obsessed with mud, dirt, and animals. Unlike Lana, who is missing her front teeth, Leif is missing his canines.

However, he is much more abrasive than Lana, being mean towards his twin brother Lexx (Lola). He is also very harsh to Lincoln and plays keep-away with the time watch that he needs to go home.

However, in the alternate universe where there is one girl and ten boys (instead of one boy and ten girls), Leif's shown to be very caring and protective towards Linka Loud, Lincoln's female counterpart similar to Lana with Lincoln.

Leif eventually ceases to exist, as the entire adventure was all just a dream.

Royal Flush[]

Lana as the Royal Flush

Lana interpreting Royal Flush.

In the minicomic Deuces Wild!, Lana interprets the superheroine called Royal Flush, who is also one of Ace Savvy's sidekicks. She uses a pipe wrench to open up a fire hydrant. In the comic, she is summoned by Savvy (played by Lincoln) alongside the rest of Savvy's deck (played by the rest of her sisters) to help him and One-Eyed Jack (played by Clyde) to defeat the gas monster. After they defeat it, they prepared to fight against a garbage monster. This was Lincoln's fantasy based on his sisters helping him change Lily and take the trash out.

She appears in Lincoln and Clyde's comic in "Pulp Friction", where she uses her wrench to loosen the bolts on the shark tank, which prevents Wild Card Willy from escaping. This episode also has Lincoln come up with the Royal Flush as part of a contest.

In "Kings of the Con", Lana goes to the convention with her siblings dressed as the Royal Flush and impresses everyone there.

The Royal Flush wears a red bandit mask and cape, teal armbands and shirt, blue pants, a brown utility belt, and maroon boots. Her name comes from the highest hand in poker, and the fact that Lana repairs toilets.

Beulah Loud[]

Main article: The Loud Rabbits
Cowgirl Rabbit

Beulah is a rabbit from Lincoln's dream where he has 25 rabbit sisters in "White Hare". She acts and dresses like a cowgirl and uses a lasso to catch whoever she's chasing. She is loosely based on Lana in that she is willing to get dirty to achieve her goals.

Ribbon[]

S4E24A Ribbon

Ribbon is a frog version of Lana who she came up with in the story the children were making up in "A Dark and Story Night". His name is a pun on the "ribbit" sound made by some frogs.

Ribbon is human-sized and can talk, but lives in a pond. He wears a red cap like Lana's, but otherwise has no other physical traits in common with her. Even though Lana is a young girl, Ribbon is an adult male frog.

In the story, Ribbon is one of the main protagonists, who accompanied Triton (Lincoln's alter-ego), Princess DeLola (Lola's alter-ego), and Lisa's robot alter-ego on a mission to find shards of an electric crystal. Ribbon had eaten one of the shards, which made him glow in the dark, and eventually excreted it out at the end of the story.

Lana Beast Head[]

10HB The beast guarding the artifact

In 10 Headed Beast, she and the rest of the sisters are represented as a hydra.
