Hops is a minor character in The Loud House.

Biography[]

Hops is one of Lana's pet frogs, and is shown to be rather intelligent, as he is unhappy with Lincoln for pressuring Lana to be something that she was not, and gave Lincoln advice as to how to persuade the principal and his teacher not to dissect the frogs for his biology class.

In "Left in the Dark", Lincoln convinces Lana to join Lola's tea party by handing her Hops and another frog. This causes an argument between the twins, which Lincoln convinces Luan to record.

Hops' first major role was in "Toads and Tiaras", where he provided a bass line during the talent portion of the beauty pageant, allowing Lana to win, and receive the season passes to Dairyland.

Hops also went on the family trip in "Raw Deal".

In "Frog Wild", it is revealed how Lana met Hops. She was playing in a pond one day, and they grew so attached to each other, that Lana had to bring him home, and keep him as her pet and friend.

In "Fed Up", Lana used Hops' sticky tongue to sabotage her dad's cooking by taking his can of baked beans.

In "Fool's Paradise", Lana mentions him in a prayer before going to sleep.

In "Garage Banned", he was seen with Lana.

In "Scales of Justice", he helps save the Fishmans from getting killed.

In "Sitting Bull", he can seen watching TV with the Loud children.

In "Game Boys", he can be seen playing with Lana.

In "Tea Tale Heart", Lana is seen training Hops, Charles, Bitey, and El Diablo.

In "Home of the Fave", Lynn Sr. decides to spend time with Lana by giving Hops a bath in the sink.

In "Cooked!", he and Lana come up with promotion for her dad's restaurant.

In "No Bus No Fuss", Lana holds Hops while waiting for the school bus.

In "Training Day", Hops accompanies Lana to search for Jazzy.

In "Animal House", he is included in Rita's list of the pets.

In "Sleepstakes", Lana tries to deal with her homesickness by hugging a pillow that has his slime on it. When this fails, she tries having him and her other pets sent over, but the pets leave.

In "Save Royal Woods!", Lana takes him with her to the town meeting, then he shakes his fist at Joyce Crandall.

In "There Will Be More Chaos", Lola kisses him and sees Artie, causing her to think Artie is Hops having transformed into a prince.

In "Livin' La Casa Loud!", he is seen wanting some food.

In "The Case of the Stolen Drawers", Lola babysits Hops and Lana's other pets when Lana falls sick with either food poisoning or her rhubarb allergy.

In Lana's first episode of Listen Out Loud, he accompanies her when she gives the drivers of the family a lecture on car management.

In Ace Savvy on the Case, he is one of Lincoln and Clyde's suspects and is described as having "doglike tendencies".

In "Robot Reboot", Lisa plays footage of him and Lana playing leapfrog and goofing around in a wading pool.

In "The Chore Thing", Lisa attempts to use Hops as a test subject to see if somebody can reach the same "dimension" that Lily is in, but Lana declines the offer due to not being on speaking terms with Hops after putting him on a low-carb diet and protects him by hiding in the basement.

In "Home Is Where the Hero Is", Rita finds Hops while rummaging through her kids' clothes.

In "What's a Mother to Redo", Lana attempts to make Hops catch the fly that has been pestering Rita lately, but he ends up not needing to catch the fly after Rita kills it herself by closing her book on it.

It is unknown if Hops is Lana's first pet frog, or if she had him while she had Seymour or got him after Seymour. But it would appear that she had Seymour before him, but since it is unknown if Seymour is real or not, it is unknown if this is true.

He enjoys eating flies and various grubs and things, especially with Lana.
